Capital Carpet LLC opened in 1988 as the first of its kind in Washington, DC. It is still family owned and operated, still minority-owned, still on Rhode Island Ave, and still answering its own phone: (202) 234-5656.
Our story
Since 1988 this company has done two things side by side. In the showroom, we help DC homeowners find carpet, hardwood, vinyl, tile, and the rugs we are known for. In the field, our crews install commercial floors for some of the region's most demanding clients, from Dulles International Airport to the International Monetary Fund Headquarters to Marriott ballrooms.
That mix keeps us honest. The standards a general contractor holds us to on a hotel project are the same standards your living room gets. And because we are a family business, the person who quotes your job answers for it afterward.
One call does it all: product advice, free samples, help with specifications, ordering, and installation by our own crews.
